Mac Mini Does not look nice on Sony 40" HD LCD TV

Hi,

I tried both using the D-sub (to the PC input of my Sony) and DVI (to the HDMI input of my Sony, using a DVI-HDMI converter) but the video quality are both quite bad.

Any hints to improve the video quality?

If want I want is to have a media center, would an Apple TV do a better job?

You're going to have to provide more details if you expect anyone to be able to help you. My Mini and MBP both work great on my 40" Samsung with a DVI to HDMI or VGA cable.

The video cannot be set to 1080P level so the screen is not sharp at all.

Also, when the output is to DVI, I cannot see the menu bar on TV.

Try installing switchresx to see if you can get your Sony to work properly with the Mini.
