Dear whomever this concerns, My Mac Mini will not download anything on Safari and when I try to it takes me to a black and gray screen and does not download. Nothing freezes, it just takes me to the screen and doesnt do anything. It doesnt matter what i even download. I cant even download chrome or firefox to see if i can download anything on them, because safari wont let me download anything now. Yet i can perfectly download anything from the mac store. 🙁

Please help and respond soon, i have had this mac mini for maybe 2 months and i still cant download anything off of safari.

What would i change, all there is to change is " to enable location services, or to send diagnostic & usage data to apple" in system preferences>security & privacy> privacy

sorry, im not in front of my mac, doing this by memory. its in the security tab in sys preffs and you should see an option to allow install apps from anywhere.

Well now i tried to download fire fox again, and this time it took me tomthe black/grey screen and this time it said plug in failure. Will this help at all?

Took me TO THE...

system preferences --> General --> Allow applications downloaded from: (check anywhere)

could be a permissions thing. Open Disk Utility and select your Mac OS Disk and check permissions. if needed then do a fix permissions.

also if you need to get another browser without using safari; open a terminal window and use the following to grab the Chrome installer for mac;

Code:
curl -O https://dl.google.com/chrome/mac/stable/GGRO/googlechrome.dmg

edit: This will drop the file in your default folder /Volumes/<YOURMACOSDISK>/Users/<YOURUSERNAME>/

hope this helps

(are we assuming you are using Mountain Lion here?)

System Preferences --> Security & Privacy --> General

It's toward the bottom of the screen. The "General" menu should be the first to show up in the Security & Privacy panel.

That should fix it, I think.
