so i just bought a new mac mini, and have two monitors with only hdmi and vga ports, and i was just wondering if the best way to do it is with a mini display to hdmi and just a straight hdmi. probably obvious but just wanted to be sure before i bought stuff

Hi Jacob,

assuming you have the latest Mac Mini - then yes that should work fine. Normally I recommend newegg.com for cables, or the Apple Store of course (for the mDP->HDMI).

So 1 monitor is Mac Mini->mDP->DVI (or HDMI)->Monitor.
And the other is MacMini->HDMI->Monitor.

Sounds good?!

Enjoy

Monoprice.com for cables. Great quality and pricing as well.

I have a Mini connected with HDMI to DVI adapter, and second monitor with a mDP to DVI cable from Monoprice.
