mac mini early 2009 ddr2 ram?

I've bought OCZ 4gb DDR3 for my mac mini (early 2009) from amazon.de last week. they send me mistakely 4gb DDR2 PC2 5400 😡
i will of course send it back, but could actually ddr2 work on my mac?
