    Hi,

    I just bought a new Mac Mini 2009 and when I hook it up to my Sony SXRD TV using MiniDP to DVI ----> DVI to HDMI cable, all I see is the blue screen during the bootup with the Apple logo and then its blank.

    Can anybody please help, I have tried the MiniDVI to DVI adpated as well and no luck.

    Thanks.

    the mini isnt syncing with the TV. Are you running anything in front, like a reciever or a HDMI switch? Only other thing I can think would be to hook up a mirror monitor off of the mini DVI port and trying to change your res untill you find what will make your TV and mini happy.

    BTW did you make sure you TV was turned on before you connected the mini??

    Yes my TV is switced on, and the blue screen with Apple Logo and gear comes on and then it displays a black screen.

    I dont have an additional display is there any way I can hook it up to my Macbook or use screen sharing to access it and change resolution to mke it work ?

    They were asking if the computer and tv had anything in between it like a switch or box of some sort.

    computer <----> tv

    or

    computer <----> switchbox or cable/receiver box <----> tv
