Hey whats up Im planing to buy a mac mini for 599 the basic model. When i go into the education pricing store online it says 550 and no tax. When I go in the regular apple store online its 599 plus tax end price is 651. My question here is What are the advantages of buying a mac with the education pricing I know its 50 dollars of but do you get NO Taxes charged

And will this price be the same if I go to a apple store in person.

Depending on the state you live in there is definitely tax. If you are eligible, save the $50.

    Cheers,

Did you inadvertintly go into the Institutional purchase store? In that store they might presume you to be tax exempt.

Did you click all the way through to "Select a Payment Method" ?? At that point $42.50 was added to my test mac mini order in the personal purchase educational store.

Your in-store experience with education discount will no different. Only variable is sales tax, which depends on the state you purchase it in.
