Mac Mini G4 1.42 no DVI only VGA

Picked up a Mac Mini yesterday and tried to connect it via dvi to my monitor and the picture suddenly goes black. Tried with a dvi to vga adapter and it works fine. Anyone have any explanation of why this doesn't work? The monitor is a 1080p monitor if that makes any difference.

Quite common HW fault with the Minis. Probraly some burnt out fuse or something.

Well, that is one way to fix it. The path of least resistance is usually the road I'm on anyways 😀
