How much would it cost to upgrade the mac mini hard drive to like 250 gb? Also how much would it cost to have it done or do it by myself?

Assuming you're out of warranty, or don't care about voiding it, this would just cost the price of the drive. These are as cheap as $60 online, the install isn't too bad. I'm sure you could find a manual or something online showing how to do so.
