MacOS support 10 bit, and if you connect a TV or Monitor with 10 bit support, you will get higher color dynamic. HDR10 and Dolby Vision are specific ways to show HDR content and require its own support.

I have installed on the Apple Mac Mini 2018 windows 10 with boot camp.

It looks amazing the videos of youtube 2160p with microsoft edge but when I enabled the video streaming with HDR on windows 10 the video of youtube 2160p with HDR content Is not going well.

I know that HDMI 2.0a is needed for HDR. The Mac Mini has HDMI 2.0, so we can't use HDR out of the box. But what if a eGPU is used? Then can HDR be possible? Or is there another catch? I want to use this for editing HDR videos, and also watching HDR content.

Thanks

I have a 2018 MAC mini... I tried running Win 10 on the MAC mini and I could turn HDR on... The HDR does not work properly when using the built in HDMI port but works well when using a Belkin Thunderbolt 3(USB-C) to HDMI converter... I am still unsure of how to have HDR on MAC OS

The Mac Mini has at least HDMI 2.0a, if not HDMI 2.0b.

If I plug in an old HDMI splitter providing only HDMI 2.0 between monitor and Mac Mini, I can see the difference.
