Mac Mini inside SE30 case

Low End Mac had a link to a Japanese website describing how someone installed a Mini inside the body of an SE30, adding a 9-inch grayscale CRT monitor to replace the original B&W-only monitor:

Is this new? I thought someone did this a year or two ago.

Anyway, it's a shame they had to kill an SE/30 for this. A better sacrifice would be a Plus, SE, or Classic.

I don't like the CRT idea either. I thought you could get some small LCDs cheap by now. I have a classic but it is still working I would hate to use it until it breaks. I do have a couple of imac that could be cool.

Too bad the floppy drive is merely a slit in the case that the mini peeks out from. Man, those SE's really take me back...
