Mac Mini jukebox

I'm thinking of setting an old (2006) Mac Mini up to just play music. No monitor, just hooked up to a stereo and interacting with it though remote app in iPhone/iPad though wifi and hidden out of the way. Is there a better way to go about this?

this will work just fine. i'm running my mini headlessly and use screen sharing from my iMac to admin it.

i'm using iTeleport on my iPad for most other operations, i.e. controlling iTunes.

Thanks, yeah I already use the same app to control my work Mac when I'm at home.

The other factor is that it's running Tiger – does this play well with the remote features on iTunes?
