Mac mini late 2012 - No internet connection

I have a strange problem with my mac mini, the other day I have totally lost all Internet to the machine. It doesn't matter if I am using ethernet or WiFi, I can't get it connected. Nothing had changed with regards to the system or my Internet, and I tried connecting another mini to the same ethernet cable and WiFi network and it works totally fine?

It says under network that it is connected to ethernet/wifi but it is actually not?

I am really stuck with this one, and have tried so many things already, today I even done a total reinstall but made no difference at all.

So if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Many thanks.

looks like the what ever that makes the internet works inside your Mac mini has died that or the wifi card inside no longer works might be time too get a new Mac mini

Just find it strange that the WiFi and the ethernet have totally died, and not one or the other. Maybe you are right, might be time to throw it in the bin. 🚮

yep time too throw it in the Bin and get your self a Nic Mac mini M1

Was this a clean install that didn’t involve using a backup of your computer hard drive.

I had a similar issue where the mini showed I was connected but I wasn’t. It was an issue with my network settings.
Maybe post in the network section of these forums rather than the Mini section.
And detail exactly what you have tried rather than saying you’ve tried everything.

Had an issue about 6-8 months back where my VPN settings were stuck in the DNS Section (not normal behaviour), looked like everything was connected but no internet. Once I deleted them & a reboot, it re-connected, everything refreshed & was fine.

he mentioned he did a total reinstall but still the same. If the 2 mini are the same model. try swapping the network card around.. cmd option p r to reset the pram too.

If it was a reinstall that involved using a backup then the problematic network settings would just be reinstalled.
