Mac Mini M 2 Fan Noise compared to Mac Mini M 1

Hi,

Did anybody compared the Fan Noise in Idle between Mac Mini (Non Pro) M 2 and the old Mac Mini M 1 ?

Is the M2 (non pro) really as silent as the M1 ?

I checked the Mini M2 Pro and this one was noticeably louder than the M1 which is more or less absolutely silent.

I agree the base M1 is silent, but the base M2 Pro I briefly had was also pretty quiet. I literally had to have my head near the case to even hear the faint M2 Pro fan. Beyond two inches away I could no longer hear the M2 Pro Mini in a quiet room.

To my ears, they both sound the same from the same distances under the same loads. Your mileage may vary
