All, first time posting but have been a browser for years.
I have an m1 Mac mini that was a family Members that passed away suddenly. The computer has been erased but I'm now at the stage where I'm in the - Recovery Assistant -> Activation Lock - screen and it seems still linked to his existing Apple iCloud/Admin account, for which I don't have access to and no one knows his password.
Do you all have any suggestions for ways to move forward? I'd like to either be able to utilize the M1 Mac Mini or be able to prep it for sale.
Is my best bet to work with Apple Support? Any other tricks for moving forward.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
 
Much appreciated. Not sure why this didn't show up when I searched the Apple Support page. I had a good call with them this AM that helped to get a clear way to move forward. Thanks to you both.
