Hi,

I purchased a Mac mini m1 16GB (Refurbished) a month ago. I have it hooked up to my LG Ultrafine 5K monitor.

I love it. However, I have noticed that I randomly keep getting "logged out" a few minutes after I sign into the device. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the external display issues that are being reported.

However, I wanted to get some input to see if other people are having this issue or not before I call Apple.

Thanks

Not sure how that would be linked. If the display works fine, this is unlikely. I wonder, if you do not have accidentally on Hot corners with some feature, which causes logout. If you have "Put to sleep" as hot corner and else in Preferences "require password after display sleep" on, moving mouse to that corner will force you to sign in again.

Appreciate the incite. That is not the case.

I just keep getting weird glitches when connected with my LG Ultrafine. I can't test it with anything else at the moment.

Attached is the latest bug. Had to log out and log back in again!

Edit: I ordered a new thunderbolt cable and an HDMI to USB C cable to see if either of those fix the problem. When I connect the Mac mini to my TV with HDMI there are zero issues. My worry is there is a problem with the LG Ultrafine. Are there any monitors (even 4k ones) that come close to the pixel density as this one?

Edit: Seems the cable was bad I replaced it and it’s fine.
