Hello,
I bought a mac mini M1 5 days ago. I am having an issue with a wired logitech mouse not working when I wake up the mac mini after several hours of sleep mode.
Currently, I have a wireless logitech keyboard connected to the mini. If I put the mini to sleep for a few hours, I use the keyboard to wake it up, and the wired mouse will work fine. The issue is that if the mac mini is in sleep mode overnignt or for several hours, when I use my wireless keyboard to wake up the mini, it does wake up, but the USB port does not power the mouse. The mouse cursor is just frozen on the screen, and the mouse power light shows off, like if the mouse is not getting any power and I need to unplug mouse from the mini and plug it back in for it to work. This is become annoying. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Do you have another wired mouse you can experiment with? I'd rather confirm it's NOT the mouse before getting concerned about the Mac Mini itself.

I have a solution.

DON'T put the Mini "to sleep".
EVER.

Just use a screensaver to put THE DISPLAY to sleep, or just reach forward and TURN OFF the display.

Let the Mini just "sit there, idling".
There is next-to-no difference in power consumption between a Mini (with an SSD) that is "sleeping" vis-a-vis one that is just "idling, but not in use".

usagora's advice to try a different mouse might work.
I'd suggest a Logitech WIRELESS mouse with a "unifying receiver".
