Hello.

I have read others having problem with their Mac mini M2 pro wifi.
Mine is a new machine and the wifi has not been useable since I received it a month ago.

I was unwell and missed the return window.
Online support and phone support has not been very helpful and sound like they doubt my problem, they say it is my wifi.

I have dual band wifi and tried both bands, other devices connected in the same area work flawlessly, the imac plugged into the same location no problem. It is just the max mini.

Can someone explain how i test or show the fault of it is the mac mini having the issue?

I suffer anxiety and need to go to genius bar, i am fearful i can’t explain my problem.

I also run i stat menu and it shows a graph over the last month i’m just not sure what to look at it or say.

Any help would be great.
Thanks so much

Is the Mini in the same room as the router?
If so, the solution is simple:
Get an ethernet cable and connect it that way.

So here is how I solved it... And yes a ethernet cable would have solved its individual issue, but it still would have had sub-optimal connection speeds for things like Plex that use the home wifi network.

First I 3D printed some risers that I found here. That was a key to getting the antenna up off the desk surface and giving it a clear transmitting path.

Then I updated the home wifi to Eero Pro 6e Tri-band so I could get the Mini on the 6ghz channel. Cheap? No, but it has solved my issues. I went from getting about 350-400mbps to 900+Mbps, with home network connectivity of 2000+mbps.

Since wifi 6e is going to become the new standard moving forward this was a future proofing move as well.
