Mac mini M2pro 32GB or mini M2 24GB or Max Studio 32GB for software development

As a software developer, I recently wanted to get into ios development so now that with the M2 mini being release. I don't know which one to buy. M2pro (12‑core CPU, 19-core GPU) mini with 32GB 1TB or M2 mini with 24GB 1TB or max studio base with 1TB. I want to future proof it a bit but don't want overkill it and to spend a huge amount such as the studio ultra. The speced out M2pro is around $100 more expensive than the base studio with 32GB 1TB. I don't own a mac previously so I am not upgrading over M1 or anything.

If you are just starting out, I would recommend the mac mini 16GB model, but no more than the 24GB model. Everything else would seem to be overkill for you.

In their case I said that 16GB should be fine, but 32GB is ideal for the Macbook Pro since there is no 24GB model and they are going to use programs with the potential to be more demanding.

I'm on a 16GB Macbook Pro and can do iOS development just fine. I do run into inconveniences every once in a while where I have to close programs because things get slow or I need space to actually run a program.

I do agree that it is overkill, but with just the 24gb, i'm just afraid down the road in 2-3 years, it might not be enough since i'm planning to keep which ever i buy for quite a long time. But yea if i go with the 24gb option, it drop down the cost by $1000 so quite a bit
