Hello,

I have an issue that I haven't been able to find a solution for.

I have a Mac Mini M4 connected to an LG G3 TV and a LG soundbar (S95TR) via HDMI (eARC).

It used to work perfectly and it detected a 5.1 configuration for Dolby Atmos. However, I started noticing that the sound returned to a 2 channel configuration everytime I turned the mac on (I need to keep it off, instead of standby). I then, had to changed it back to 5.1 atmos every time.

Last week, I turned the Mac mini on, the audio was in stereo, but the Midi app did not have any option whatsoever to change it to 5.1 surround sound. If I select more channels from the drop down, nothing happens. I can't do anything about it.

I've had to use the TV speakers since then. I don't know how I can fix it. Hopefully someone can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked for any system updates on the TV and the Sound bar? Also if you disconnect the MAC from the TV does this fix the problem (HDMI cable problem) Also check with LG's on line HELP.
