Mac Mini OS X Server?

Has anyone run a intel mini OS X Server that gets at least 1GB of traffic a day? I need to replace a PM G4 server that is down and want to buy a Xeon Xserve but as they aren't out yet I need a temporary server will a mini handle the load for a few months?...

Yes the current shipping version 10.4.7 is Intel compatable...
