A few people are saying that the 40GB HD in the Mini is a 5400 RPM drive. Macworld seems to have one of these for testing.

What hard drive is in your Mini? If you got to "About This Mac" in the Apple menu, then click on the "More Info" button it should take you to the System Profiler. There on the ATA section you will find the hard drives model number.

Do you have a 5400 RPM hard drive in your Mini?

Just doing some reaserch. Thanks!

For reference, according to a post at another forum, this is apparently a version (Apple specific firmware, maybe?) of the Seagate ST94011; 5400RPM, 2MB cache.
