Hi guys I was just wondering does anyone know the read and write speeds of pcie flash storage drive by any chance. I'll be replacing my late 2014 mac mini in a month or two to see if an update comes out with a higher spec model and I was thinking of getting one with 512gb flash storage but I was just wondering about the specs of the drive. Thanks heaps for your help.

    It's between 800MB/s-1100MB/s, read & write.

Won't be any slower than this, though likely won't be any quicker as I don't believe the Flash chips on the Mac Mini were updated in May 2015, when the rMBP SSDs were updated to quicker speeds.

I would definitely recommend holding off on a purchase for now; the Mac Mini is really long in the tooth and any sort of update is practically guaranteed to give you a lot more value for money. Flash storage pricing is plummeting and I'd heavily wager this will be reflected in the next refresh.

Thanks for that I'll certainly wait a while to see if a new model comes out in a couple months time.

I measured it to be only 700-800MB/s read & write with Blackmagic Disk Speed test. But that was the 256GB version.
