Mac mini performance

Unfortunately, you completely missed the point of my post. If you were less intent on belaboring your viewpoint you might get it. So it goes... 🙄

But I think that some budding photographers who read it will understand that if top-notch photographers can produce outstanding work using gear that isn't necessarily considered to be professional-grade and that is relatively affordable, they can too.

Plainly stated, that is the moral of my stories. 😉

The Quad Core mini runs dual displays just fine

I read that the server doesn't support dual display because the graphic card. I'm asking because my imac 21.5 has a quadcore i5 and 16gb RAM and I almost pull it to the max level of performance and I practically don't know if a dual core can work. For that i'm asking if someone here used a mini with the same purpose I will use it. Thanks Omnius!

I do this myself.. One monitor via Thunderbolt, the other via HDMI. HMDI supports 1920x1200. The same is true of the dual core model.

I got the point of your post. It was the same point I made in the edit of my prior post. I was merely relating it to my argument about pro's using Apple displays. It's not the gear the photographer uses, it's the photographer who's using the gear.

You would (or maybe wouldn't) be surprised how many times I've seen photographers' works dismissed as just a result of the gear they use. "Well anyone could shoot like you if they had a D3 and all the pro lenses." It sickens me. Look at Ken Rockwell, dude shoots with all the best gear available and he still sucks.

To my knowledge, I don't think you can daisy-chain two monitors on any current mac through the same thunderbolt port (the bandwidth seems kinda tight). I saw one report that you could daisy chain a minidisplayport off a 27" thunderbolt, but you apparently can't do it right off the monitor - need another device in between.

Daisy-chaining two Thunderbolt Displays is specifically supported.
