I hope this is in the correct section.
I have bought a Mac mini 2011 i7 quad core, synology ds413 & would like to run plex, couch potato, suck beard & sabnzd.
Pretty new to this so please be gentle.
I would like the ds413 to do most of the downloading etc in the background, I have downloaded the various applications from the synocommunity, I need help setting them up to work properly & automatically.
I presume that the transcoding would be better being done by the Mac mini, so would I install plex media & plex home theatre on the Mac mini rather than the ds413?
Eventually the Mac mini & ds413 will be relocated to the home office & connect via a gigabit home network, I will use Mac as an office machine as well as my plex media server.
I plan on connecting the Mac mini to a led monitor via mini display port to dvi & then via hdmi to a projector, will this work ok?
Could the Mac mini work as my plex medi server & a home office machine simultaneously?
