I am using an M1 Mac Mini with Mac OS Big Sur 11.5.2, with all Apple cables, no hubs, the latest display firmware, all plugged into an APC UPS (thus the power is not the issue). I have tried TWO Pro Display XDRs with the same results. When I wake the Mac mini from sleep I sometimes get this pink screen. As you can see in the video the pink sections flicker in squares (right hand side) as I move the mouse cursor. I then have to unplug/replug the thunderbolt cable to renew the connection.

The first time this happened I had an iPad about 18" from the monitor and Mac mini. The second time I had another COmputer's Apple Magic Trackpad about 3 feet from the Mac mini and 18" from the monitor.

Is this a Mac mini M1 bug? A Pro Display XDR bug? Hardware or software? Bad Shielding on the Mac mini or Monitor? Any thoughts or similar experiences would be appreciated.

The Mini, both M1 and Intel is plagued with hardware bugs. My 2018 i7 will be replaced in due time by an iMac as I've grown tired of inability to properly boot at random times, no sleep, etc.

Since the display is worth more than the Mini, I'd suggest getting a better computer.
