Got my Mac Mini Pro yesterday.. I used wired internet connection, which I previously used in my PC without issue.. but now it's very slow. When I try to go to new website, it takes like 3-5 seconds before loading. Also downloading from the browser is almost impossible. took about 5 minutes to download 190kb and it stops. Speedtest.net shows 565mbps and 23.27mbps download and upload, respectively, with 14ms ping. Everything works fine with wireless though... any thoughts?

No I did not. I don't think it should be this slow with regular gigabit port.
No, it shouldn't be that slow either way. The reason I asked about the 10Gb Ethernet is that there are some other threads of people having issues using their 10Gbps Ethernet ports over 1Gbps link speed networks, and getting a lot lower speeds than they should be getting.

I have seen enough posts on it that it has deterred me from getting the upgrade on a new M2 Pro Mac Mini that I will be getting soon once I determine which configuration I need. I was only going to get the 10Gb Ethernet upgrade for future proofing, as my current network of many 6 Gen AirPort Extremes has been excellent, but I may replace it in the next few years.

Since I do not need it, there is no point on getting the 10 Gb Ethernet if it may only cause me problems.

But, that is obviously not your problem.

I am unsure of what you are expecting, but those speeds are very good. Although, it doesn't match with your experience with trying to download.

How does the Speedtest results compare with wireless?

Is this with a particular website, or any website?

Do you have any firewall or proxy settings enabled?

Oh, I wasn't aware of those issues with 10gbps ports. It's funny the wireless speedtest.net is pretty much the same as wired. I don't have any issues when I use wireless... but when I use wire, it's slow for all the websites.. like.. it takes few seconds to start loading. It seems to be issue with every sites. For example, when I go to YouTube, it takes few seconds before it starts to load.. once it loads, youtube streams without any issues. I don't have any firewall or proxy and it worked fine on my old PC with built in ethernet. I can use wireless, but it would bother me if it's a defect..

What I meant was that the speed is not consistent with my experience. Speedtest shows it's fast, but things load very slow.

I also got my M2 Pro Mac mini yesterday and can confirm extremely unreliable internet speeds. It seems to have horrible latency and takes several seconds to load, sometimes it's fast and sometimes it's slow. Connection seems to drop, even when I was chatting with Apple support, it took several seconds to deliver a text message. The connection worked fine on my Mac Studio.
