Not as crazy as it sounds, right now the mac mini gets used a lot in the professional world, where the iMac pro is too large and the MacBook pro doesn't have the ability to be customized for your venue.
So what would it look like? maybe a double stack mac mini with the lower half having expansion slots for the Quadro Pro video cards, SDI and or HDMI capture cards, m.2 slots, extra SSD Drives, maybe even liquid cooling, who knows. with the extra space anything is possible.
Or maybe when the thunderbolt 4 comes out, they can take the mac mini case and turn it into a expansion rig so you can customize any mac mini, just sit it on top. Or even use it to expand the I-Mac and MacBook pros.
Or I could just be crazy to think apple has any interest in making the Mac line useful and customizable. After all they seem comfortable with the status quo. Apple has forgotten it's roots, being different, creative, thinking outside of the box. Remind me again how long has it been since Apple has gotten creative with the mac line.
Mac continues to lose market share in the Audio and Video editing world, They have already abandoned the server industry, and brand loyalty will only go so far.
