Thanks for repeating exactly what i said in the original post!

iWoot, yes its for backup.

?? this was no repeating of your first post your first post sounded like someone who didn't have any idea how to build a raid... your post was vague :p anyway enjoy...

right. so, given that i live on "the other side of the world" in australia, is it just my brilliant intellect that allowed me to find these in all of 30 seconds using google:

im an atheist but i do believe that if he were real, god would help those WHO HELP THEMESLVES. if you had taken but a few minutes im sure you could find MANY MORE suppliers of hardware raid systems in the UK. hell the Applestore sells an extensive number of third party hardware. Before you call someone "unhelpful" remember that you asked for INFORMATION, not someone to feed you and wipe your ass.

If you stopped being a smart ass for a minute and actually read up on the links you provided me you would see the solutions (Literally all of them) you provided me with are over £500 ($1000) because they are supplied with drives (They are the kind of thing i want but without the drives!). I'm pretty sure one of my posts stated i didn't want drives as i already have them. I have already looked at all the suppliers you provided and have not found what i am looking for so please wind your neck in!

I don't post on a forum without searching first. I was also asking for the help of UK users who have bought similar as we don't have as wider range of kit here as they do in the states and as you maybe do in Aus

EDIT: Also needs to take SATAII Drives

No it wasn't vague. It asked for UK forum users who have bought a Raid enclosure to let me know where they got it. Thats an enclosure.....not an enclosure that requires a RAID card adding or one that is supplied with drives!

These things are around $200 in the states to i am not wanting to spend more than £100 on the enclosure!

EDIT: The only uncertainty i had is if this RAID setup via Firewire or USB would work via a network to other clients on the network. I am pretty sure it would work but before shelling out hundreds there must be at least one forum member that has done it
