So what kind of specs do you expect to see in the new Mac Mini?

It will probably be a quad core, with HD4000 graphics - but do you think they will up the RAM to 8GB min?

    What are your thoughts?

No. The 2011 had the same processor and RAM as the Base Early 2011 Mac Pro. So using the 2012 Base Mac Pro (non-retina), you can expect a 2.3ghz quad core processor and 4GB of RAM. I really don't see Apple putting more RAM into a Mac Mini (even if it is the server model) than a Mac Pro. Maybe once they move the entire line to 8GB they will, but not until then.

All of this is pure speculation....

EDIT: Besides, if Apple sticks with the current "case" for the Mac Mini then RAM upgrades are easy and for less than $40 you can put 8 or even better for less than $90 you can put 16!

EDIT2: I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see 4GB in the Base, and 8GB in the Mid and Server, just don't see it happening (although I do see them putting 4GB in the Base finally).

My comments are not so much what I expect, and are more what I want:

FireWire 3200 and eSata. Yeah I am old school but I find it crazy you need Thunderbolt to pay $300 to get eSata. Yes I can use USB 3.0 in the new MM but I already have some great eSata enclosures.
