Depends on exactly what you order, e.g. if it’s a CTO or stock item.
But no, I haven’t heard anything specific about the mini. Scuttlebutt is the new M5 might come out later this year, but nothing imminent in the rumor mill.
Hard to tell. in USA, Microcenter had the entry Mini on sale for $499 for 10+ months and now mostly out of stock or at full price.
Is Apple hitting a RAM/NAND shortage? Probably (everyone else is). Doesn't mean that all their production will grind to a halt. But it does mean that inventory management is a juggling act and giving pessimistic lead times is prudent. ( don't over promise and maybe over deliver if things happen to go right).
Apple is also spinning up a factory to make Mini's locally in USA ( later this year). Coupled with shortage might also be a compounding factor. ( times seem different in Europe . The inventory is not evenly placed around the Globe. )
Mini's also could be bleeding off M4 / M4 Pro supply while the laptops are consuming new M5 Pro/Max . If there are no 'excess' M5's why move the Mini off of the M4 gen?
I need one, but with an 8 TB of storage. Delivery date is at some point in August. But: a Mac Studio with 8 TB would be delivered beginning of May. One with 16 TB and 96 GB of RAM end of May.
Could that mean that the Mac mini M5 will arrive soon? Or does Apple prefer Mac Studio buyers (maybe because the profit margin is even better for them)?
Micro Center here in Marietta, GA. has 17 qty. base M4 Mini's at the moment as well a 4 qty. base M4 Max Studios but they are no longer discounting them. In the past Mini's have been as low as $399.00 and Studio's $1,699.00.
