Mac mini Shows 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps, why ?

Hi Im connected gigabit switch and cat6 cable - but it shows 100Mbps only in settings hardware under network.
Why is it so ?

If you choose to configure manually, are you given the gigabit option?

Re-seat cable in both ends and/or try a different cable.

If I do it manually, it shows not connected.

I would try a different cable as well. Do you have a Cat5e cable around? Ubiquitous and capable of gigabit.

Does your switch connect at 1000Mbps to another computer?
Have you tried a different ethernet cable?
