Wow is my head spinning

I am thinking of doing this:

Download PLEX to play my movies/music/pics stored on my Thunderbolt external drive to all my devices (2 x IPADS and 2 x IPHONES 1 x ROKU)

Buy EYETV so that i can get rid of my cumbersome and old satellite receiver. We currently subscribe to SKY TV but only need the freeview channels.

So can all 3 of these work together well? Am i missing something? I dont want to buy something if i dont require it?

So if you purchase eyetv software, what are you planning on using as the TUNER?
I personally use the original HDHomerun tuners, total of four tuners as a DVR + live tv.

Thats half my problem - i cant think if ive forgotten something .

I thought if eyetv linked ot ym mac i can record and series link programs etc. I know i can get PLEX to play any recorded files to my tv but i dont think there is a way that i can still watch live tv? Is there?

As Cyber16 said, not without a tuner. Also as he said, the HDHomerun is an excellent choice.
