To think I was one of the first to have a G5 ... oh what glory that beast was and now reduced to simple consumer status but alas all the great economical, cost-effective and robust things I've done with my Mini's and the service life-span has well exceeded both of my G5's!

Nah, you can buy a used Mac Pro in a year for half the price, equivalent to a MM i7 64 GB in price.

But then again, to make the Pro worthwhile, you need to add plenty of RAM. Base model is not going to make that much of a difference to a MM.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhah oh .... haha

Settles any conversation about that ... forever relegated to Mini

I was hoping to upgrade my 2013 6-core Mac Pro to a a 2019 Mac Pro, but $6K (minus gov't discount and sale of old nMP plus memory and SSD upgrades) is a bit steep. If only Apple offered a Mac mini with an 8- or 10-core processor, that'd be enough to outperform my current nMP. On the other hand, my nMP still runs great, and it's the only computer I've kept for so long, so maybe the new Mac Pro would be worth it...

I wish they would offer the Space Gray for the Mac Pro 2019 - that would be epic along with Mac mini 2018. :D

Yes, Yes, want all those things.

Love the portability and price of the Minis.

Damn, we are right back where we started before the new Mac Pro release.

What to choose? What to choose? LOL a2
