Mac Mini wireless antenna upgrade/replacement

Is it possible to replace the antenna connected to the airport extreme card in my mac mini with an external antenna?

I was thinking I could connect an external antenna to increase the range of the wireless capability. I'm aware of the quickerTek product but I'd like to keep the price well below the $80 they are asking.
 
I just bought both of QuickerTek's products becasue I couldn't find anything else to do the job.
