mac mini with Samsung 40 inch Tv

I am about ready to buy a mac mini to replace my emac G4. Guys you will appreciate this, over the weekend my wife saw a Samsung 46 LED and had to have it, so I now have a Samsung 40 inch LCD in my man cave. How do macs look on large TVs and how do you get the sound from the mini to the system as I have surround sound.
