No light, no noise, nothing. Intel C2D mini, few years old. Any ideas?
Did you reset the SMC? See link in sig.
Have you checked the power source?
hahah yeah used it all throughout my house. The only thing I could think of would be the power adapter itself is broken, because there's absolutely no signs of life from the mini and it was running fine a few days ago.
Sometimes the SMC needs several resets. Don't forget to hold the power button down for 10 secs while unplugged. You could also try holding the power button down while plugging it in. This has been known to work on occasion.
Just tried both, nothing still. What would apple do if I brought this in? Help me troubleshoot at all even though it's out of warrenty?
They will. It doesn't matter that it's out of warranty.
They'll do the diagnostics, and if there's anything to fix, they'll tell you how much it is before they proceed.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar.
alright going tonight
Let us know how this turned out for you?
Power adapter... Kinda what I was thinking it was gonna be. At least it's an easy fix. Thanks everyone.
Oh good. Glad that worked out for you.
One of the advantages of the old design!
Hey guys, exactly the same problem here... I'm very disappointed. How much money did u pay for the power supply? I could not find it in any store...
