I was thinking about buying a Mac Mini Core Duo very soon, but I've got a couple questions I hope some people may be able to answer for me. I've been doing some freelance web design/development lately and I occasionally work on print projects for fun. I really would like to move over to OSX and I now have the possibility of running XP if I need to (but I want until installation becomes easier) however I'm just curious how Photoshop and Dreamweaver would run in Rosetta. I'd like to play around with Ruby on Rails more on OSX than Windows also.

So, basically, I want to know if I bought the Mac mini duo and continued my freelance work, would I regret it? I played on the Macbook Pro but they didn't have any Adobe products on there to test so I'm not too sure what to do. Also, Word isn't at THAT bad of a performance hit, right?

Rosetta feeds off of ram if you want some performance...From a professional stand-point, are you fine with the performance hit in dreamweaver and photoshop? The slow hard drive in the mac mini may also slow you down..other than that, go for it.
I don't think microsoft office is universal yet and I'm not sure if it runs under rosetta (if it does run under rosetta it obviously couldn't be that slow)
