.mac not working in mail app

I am having a very difficult time setting up my mail to work with my .mac account.

incoming is working fine, mail.mac.com
outgoing is being very very difficult and will not work with the smtp.mac.com and i tried smtp.mail.yahoo.com i think and that wont work either.

can someone please advise?

Try going to Mail> Preferences> go to the 'Accounts' tab> Click on the 'Server Settings...'

ha ha!!! thank you so so much, I looked through all the help things i thought, i guess it was port 25!!
