Mac Office 2008 Upgrade

    When you install Mac Office 2008 Upgrade what does it require?

    I currently have Office 2004 and Office 2008 Student Ed but need Exchange support so need Office 2008 Full version. However I do not have the original Office 2004 CD and I am unsure what is required for 2008 Upgrade as opposed to 2008 Full Version. Do I need to have the original Office 2004 CDs or will the fact that it is installed on my mac be enough to allow Office 2008 Upgrade version be installed?

    Obviously I would prefer to purchase the upgrade version but if I have to I will look at the full version.

    Tricky one this in that the Student Ed does not have Exchange Server support, and a 2008 Upgrade will have... but not based on your 2008 Student edition (as I understand it). I think you'll have to go for the full version. Your 2004 CDs would have helped for an Upgrade however. But perhaps Microsoft support can help if you still have your Product IDs from those disks? Give them a call.
