Mac on windows?

I have an HP windows laptop, was wondering is it ok if I buy mountain lion and install it instead of windows? How do I do that? How much does it cost? Is it a good idea? My laptop is 4GB ram and plays fairly well on games, graphic wise.

The only way to legally run ML is by purchasing it from the MAS which is only on the Mac.

Oh I never knew that, i thought you could boot mac osx on windows as well, sorry, i remember someone who did it some 2 years ago. I have a mac already and hate windows, I guess ill just keep it without upgrading. Btw how much will windows 8 cost and will it be worthwhile to upgrade ormit needs more specs?

39$, and extremely amazingly worth the upgrade. I would strongly recommend getting the Windows Touch Mouse for it though

What you're looking for is to make your laptop into a Hackintosh – which sometimes is possible but very buggy usually. Proceed with care.

I believe it will come out in October and it's in download form (From Microsoft, like Mac OS Lion/Mountain Lion), but retail boxed versions will be in stores from 69.99 (It's more expensive for the Pro version). It all depends on if you have XP, Vista, or 7. For more information I would google around and look at all the nitty gritty details.
