I have an iMac G3, when I boot it, it says "bootr unknown word, failed to boot.", firmware 3.0.f3. So I need to install Mac OS 9 on it to get the v4 firmware on it. I tryed setenv boot-command, but it doesn't remember the command. Does any one have a spare Mac OS 9 Retail disk? I called Apple, and they told me I can get one through 3rd party, so they didnt do a thing.

I happen to have a Mac OS 9 retail disc kicking around. I no longer use it, as I no longer have any PowerPC Macs capable of running it, and have accepted that Classic emulation on an Intel Mac, though great as a stopgap measure, is just that - a stopgap, and won't be supported forever. ;)

How much would shipping cost for it? :)
