I have a PowerMac G4 running OS 10.2.8 but recently I reinstalled and formatted OS X and my Hard drive.

Now I lost my OS 9 when I formatted my Hard drive, now when I try to reinstall it by installing from the CD that came with my PowerMac it keeps saying it needs classic environment to run the installer.

So how am I suppose to reinstall OS 9 if it needs OS 9 to run the installer?

Thanks

try booting from the CD, are you trying to dual boot, or just get classic running?

Dual boot I guess.. I'm sorry I haven't used a Mac in years..

I'm trying to run Classic within OS X, so if I need to run a program in classic I can run it while I'm in OS X...

Hi KJmoon117

As suggested, you will need to install Mac OS 9 by booting off the 9 CD (hold down C on startup - just like X).
