Go into Options>Keyboard>Advanced>Enable developer console. Then in game hit ~ and type in "cl_showfps 1" and it will display your FPS up the top right.
you could also use "net_graph 1" (or 2), though this gives more information than just the fps and is a little obstructive. Though I liked it more at start since the cl_showfps is really small, and it's at an awkward position 😛

THIS IS ****ING WEIRD IT LAGS LIKE HELL ON THE OFFICIAL VALVE MAC OS CSS VERSION EVEN ON LOW IT EVEN CRASHES and WHEN I USE CROSSOVER AND PLAY THE WINDOWS VERSION ON A EMULATOR ON MEDIUM ITS PRETTY DECENT 0_O it RUNS SMOOTHLY AT SOME PLACES 😀 😀 so will fraps work with crossover?? =D

crossover isnt an emulation, its a perfect representation 🙂
FRAPS should work for you, assuming the software is supported.
mac os games are terribly coded, which may explain why it runs pathetically 🙂

ah well im happy to know it doesn't lag on crossover btw how do you fuse the source recorder for filming and how do you view demos since this is on mac it might be different? 0_o 😕
