Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91) disables Touch ID on Macs?

Since updating my 2022 iMac and 2024 MacBook Air to Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91), Touch ID has pretty much stopped working on both machines. It's not me- it was working fine until the upgrade. Anyone else having issues?

I'm on iMac M3 and the Touch ID on the Keyboard is working as expected on Sequoia 15.1.1

Touch ID is still working fine for me on several Macs running 15.1.1, both with external keyboards and with built in.

working here, too. have you tried deleting and re-doing the fingerprints?

that seems rather severe; the OP can try any number of other things before going that route... 🤔

TouchID is working for me on my M1 MBP and with Magic Keyboard with TouchID.

Check to see if there are any extensions that need to be enabled in Settings->Privacy and I'd try redoing TouchID. Shut down afterwards, not restart.

I had the same problem, but another restart after the update automatically restarted fixed it.

Nah, just dumpster the Mac & buy a new one. It’s the only way to be sure! 🙄

I have had no issues with touchID with this update.
