Mac OS Sierra problems

My Mac won’t load up it just stays on the loading screen half way and stays on for ages.
I now pressed command r to reboot it as I want to just get it wiped and seek it on.
my recovery disk is locked and when I run is x base system it won’t load up again!
I honestly have no ideas with Mac and no one I know does either
