Mac OS X and Dell Printers

Okay, my PC is gone and I don't have a server for my printer. I don't want to hook it up directly because I don't like to be held onto a desk, reason why I got the iBook. The family computer has a Dell 720 printer shared but I can't print to it. I also tried hooking it up directly to the iBook but that didn't work. I used the generic drivers with it. Is there any way to get this working?

What is the family computer? If it's a PC, you might have some luck with Bonjour for Windows. 🙂

Yep, it's a Dell. It's going to take a while though. I'm using dial-up. 🙁 😱 😡

That sucks. 🙁

But if they're both on the same network (I'm guessing wireless 😉 ) then the printer should "just work".
