Mac OS X app discovery?

What does everyone use to find out about new Mac apps to try, download and install? I've been a long fan of discovering good, well-supported apps but with the demise of many blogs/sites over the years, I don't know what to use.

It seems MacUpdate Promo/MacZot type bundles have slowed down as well. Everything seemed to die after the Mac App Store came out and subsequently failed.

Someone else suggested "The Sweet Setup" which I already was aware of.
