Okay, I'm getting low on storage in my G4.. How do i install tiger on my 400GB SATA drive with a IDE boot drive ..


Then transfer the info from the ol' IDE boot drive to new SATA boot drive ..


Going from 40GB to 400GB in boot size .. I'm going to try transferring info this sunday with your helpful tips etc .. 😱 😱

SuperDuper is better than Carbon Copy Cloner (at least in my and someone else's opinions) for this sort of thing. Even though it's shareware, if you only need to do a one-off clone operation, and don't need the Smart Update or scheduled copy features, you can use the unregistered version just fine for this purpose, as many times as you like.
