I remember seeing Mesa Spreadsheet back in '93 on NeXTSTEP. It was running a bar chart getting fed from live data and the bars were moving up and down as the numbers came in. It was very cool. If you want to know how it all started, check out the Steve Jobs Demo of NeXTSTEP 3.0 from '92

nope, the closest thing is classic enviroment (i assume you ment like vmware and vpc on the pc is like)

What makes you think that the OS X Public Beta won't run on a Mac mini or a 2002 iBook?

Just FYI, Jaguar won't install on my iBook (below). I was going to dual boot between Jaguar on my external drive and Panther on the internal HDD purely for novelty and comparison reasons, but no can do - apparently the boot ROM has been upgraded to the stage where all new Macs won't run on anything lower than the OS it shipped with - in my case 10.3.4.

try finding a torrent of the OS. I know Rhapsody was on some torrent sites like www.torrentreactor.net

EDIT: So far, I havn't found any torrents yet. There are Tiger copies, but nothing old like public beta one.
