Mac OS X upgrade and iLife

I upgraded tiger to leopard but the iLife applications didn't get upgraded. Is it suppose to? Is there way I can upgrade my iLife (with the leopard CD not buying iLife 08.)

I want to upgrade the garage band to make custom ringtones. I didn't care before.

Leopard doesn't include an iLife upgrade.

No, you will need to install your previous iLife suite from your Tiger CD or buy iLife 08.

Leopard is separate from iLife... you have to buy iLife 08 (or other illegal ways) to upgrade to.
